You’ve heard the saying that you can’t judge a book by its cover. That saying does not apply to websites. People can—and do—judge websites by their homepage, and for good reason. Here’s what a well-designed, mobile-responsive website can tell your potential customers.
“We Care About Your Experience”
Frequently, potential customers “meet” you through your website, and first impressions are important. This is how you show people that the experience they will have with your product or service will be a good one, from beginning to end. If your website is outdated, not mobile-responsive, or is difficult to navigate, people may also associate that with what you’re selling, or decide it isn’t worth the hassle of dealing with your website or your company.
“We Are Good at What We Do”
As humans, we tend to believe that if someone is good at one thing, they are good at many other things. The same holds true for your website. If it is professional and easy to use, people attribute those qualities to your service or product, too.
“We Understand What You Want”
Organizing your website so that it is user-friendly doesn’t go unnoticed (at least not subconsciously). When your website is easy to navigate, potential customers know that you realize what they want and need, and how to help them find it.
